What is TransL8 Bot?
TransL8 Bot is a real-time chat translation bot for streamers. It automatically detects and translates messages from your viewers into your language — and back again — so language is never a barrier between you and your audience.
Which platforms are supported?
Twitch and Kick are fully supported on all paid tiers. YouTube is available on Pro+ as a beta feature.
Do I need technical knowledge to set it up?
No. Everything is managed through a simple dashboard. Connect your platform, give the bot moderator status in your chat, and you're ready to go.
Is my data safe?
Yes. TransL8 Bot is fully GDPR compliant and never sells your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How does translation work?
The bot monitors your chat in real-time. When a message is detected in a language other than your base language, it translates it and posts the result in chat so you and your viewers can follow along.
What is Smart Multi-Language Mode?
When enabled, TransL8 Bot goes beyond one-way translation. Normally the bot translates everything into your base language (e.g. English). With Smart ML on, if viewers are chatting in another language, it automatically starts translating your base language back to them too — so everyone in chat can follow the conversation. It handles multiple languages simultaneously and quietly stops translating a language when those viewers go quiet. Enable with !trml on in your chat.
What are Language Tags?
Language Tags let you force a message into a specific language. For example, typing [es] Hello! will translate "Hello!" into Spanish. Great for speaking directly to international viewers.
What chat commands are available?
Streamers can control the bot directly from chat using these commands:
!tron — Enable translation
!troff — Disable translation
!trlang [code] — Change target language (e.g. !trlang fr)
!trml on/off — Toggle Smart Multi-Language Mode
!trfix wrong = correct — Suggest a translation fix
!trstats — View translation stats
!trclear — Clear the OBS overlay
These commands work on Twitch, Kick and Discord. Only the channel owner can use them (except !trfix which anyone can use).
What is Emote Protection?
Emotes like Kappa or PogChamp should never be translated. Emote Protection lets you add emote prefixes or specific words that the bot will always skip — keeping your chat looking natural.
What are Gone Live Discord Notifications?
Connect a Discord webhook and TransL8 Bot will automatically post a notification to your Discord server whenever you go live. Available on Pro and Pro+ tiers.
Can TransL8 Bot translate my Discord server chat?
Yes — Discord chat translation is available as a standalone plan or included free with Pro+. Connect your Discord server through your dashboard and TransL8 Bot will automatically translate messages in your chosen channels. Pro+ includes 1 translation channel, the Discord plan supports up to 3 channels. No bots to manually configure — just connect and go.
How many languages are supported?
TransL8 Bot supports 56+ languages on all tiers, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and many more. View the full language list →
💳 Pricing & Billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes — the Basic tier is free forever. It supports one platform (Twitch or Kick) with up to 1,000 translations per month.
How does billing work?
Pro and Pro+ are pay-as-you-go. You pay for 30 days access in advance — there are no automatic renewals and no rolling subscriptions. When your 30 days are up your account automatically returns to the Basic tier. Top up whenever you're ready to continue.
Can I change plan?
You can switch to a different tier once your current 30-day period ends. Downgrades happen automatically when your period expires.
What happens to my settings if I let my subscription lapse?
Your account returns to the Basic tier automatically. All your settings — ignore words, ignored users, target language, emote prefixes — are saved and will be restored when you resubscribe.
What is your refund policy?
TransL8 Bot subscriptions are non-refundable once activated. Full details are in our Refund Policy. To request a refund contact us at transl8bot@gmail.com.

Why does the bot need moderator status?
Moderator status lets the bot verify that messages are coming from viewers actually in your chat, and prevents it from being accidentally timed out or banned by other moderators.
How do I connect my platforms?
Go to My Account after signing up and use the Platform Connections section to connect Twitch, Kick, or YouTube via a secure OAuth login.
Can I request or delete my data?
Yes. TransL8 Bot is fully GDPR compliant. You can request a copy of your stored data or ask for it to be deleted at any time by contacting us via the Contact page.
